This is Brooke speaking...
Today we woke up at 4:30 a.m. here in Korea. Now, our mornings consist of things of all sorts. Brooke started and finished a book, after being aroused awake by the sound of a mouse nibbling. This 'mouse' was her younger sister and mother. Her father on the other hand was lying down singing to gospel music, while simultaneously watching the highlights of the Canuck's hockey game. To him the Lord and big men in masks with sticks decking each other is just like bacon and syrup. This is just a tiny little peek into our family dynamics....
We all got dressed and went to Golden Arches Breakfast club...aka McDonald's, but that sounds less impressive. Brooke ordered a carton of milk, and she predicted her mother to say something about milking cows. Sure enough, Rachel Ko Lee put on her fake asian accent and said, "The Korean cows don't say moo. They say MOO-DAH." Ahhh, the sounds of mornings with the Lee's. I pray for your sake that you will never have to experience one.
Hang in there Brooke!!! :)
ReplyDeleteSounds like a blast! I love it that you have a blog now, and I'm eagerly anticipating your reunion with little Matthew!! You're a great writer, too, btw! I feel like I'm there, experiencing all the familiar and unique humor and delightful quirks of the wonderful Lee family.
ReplyDeleteMuch love and prayer to each of you!!
Cheryl
