On June 9th we boarded Asiana 201 from LAX to Incheon/Seoul, South Korea. If you know our family, Jeff, Rachel, Brooke and Britney you will know that we are a family reality show ready to happen. Jeff interacts with everyone we meet and we can auditorially track him 300 feet away-from anywhere-no matter the decibel level of the location that we are at. Rachel who has a bit of a control issue changes personality from the time that she wakes on the day of travel till she is seated on the plane; lets just say she is no longer Dr. Rachel, but Mrs. Hyde. Brooke our creative soul packs as if she will be stranded on an island; before the e-reader she carried 20+ books, computer, notepads-for those inspirational moments and pen in hand she would create short stories/poems/lyrics-literally she looks like the mad scientist going through the terminals. Our Britney who would rather stay at home and bask in the familiarity and routine of her life-the child who has three underwear to her name. (Tangential) Her dad bought her these specific undies on his travel to China when she was about 4 yeas old, it started as a pack of 12 and now we have dwindled down to 3. Her mother, irrationally believes that someone will judge her by the condition of her daughter's undie-by any chance that someone will go through the drawers judging her in the organization of her child's layout of clothing--this mother has tried to purchase every type from boy underwear cut to boxer briefs, to no avail. Maybe this trip we will find success in increasing her underwear!
(Untangent) Brooke and Dad did amazing on the plane ride, but mother did not and Britney had a bit of indigestion after eating her steak. The last 2 hours of the plane ride was rather turbulent and 3 vomit bags later Rachel vowed never to eat Korean food on plane again. Self-"never eat Korean food on plane-what goes in yummy-doesn't necessarily go out nice." Upon coming to the hotel, Britney and mother laid in the twin size, which the hotel considers it a full size, bed-commiserating regarding their tummies. However, father and Brooke hit the town for their "Andrew Zimmerman" excursion. They are soul-mates when it comes to music and food; so they went off on their conquest to try out as many different restaurants in Seoul.
